
Nam moved to Fairbanks after practicing acupuncture for the past ten years in the Midwestern United States. Originally from Korea, Nam lived in Canada for nineteen years before moving to U.S. Finished master degree in Oriental Medicine from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, Wisconsin. His research and clinical experience beyond school has made him an authority on ear acupuncture. He invented acupressure earring in an effort to introduce to the public an easy and convenient way to apply auriculotherapy for weight loss, smoking cessation and other disorders. One of his goal is to spread the simplified version of auriculotherpy using earrings, called "Earring Therapy", as a folk remedy to the public.
